LEARN IN-DEMAND SKILLS THROUGH APPRENTICESHIP

TMT Youth Community Foundation provides guidance, resources and on-going support in the TMT Youth Apprenticeship Program. TMT Youth Apprentices receive on-the-job learning with related classroom instruction, while they learn a highly-skilled trade.  TMT Youth Apprentices are often identified as individuals ages 16 through 24.

Program Duration:

TMT Youth Apprentices receive one year on-the-job learning, or 2,000 hours . Training consist of a minimum of 20 hours per week but does not exceed 40 hours per week. Work schedules are flexible and can be arranged Monday through Friday from 8a.m. until 5p.m. Occasional shifts are available on Saturdays to from 8a.m.- 5p.m. Apprentice can choose from an array of curriculum concepts.

Expectations of the TMT Apprentice:

  • Comply with guidelines established by TMT Apprenticeship Program
  • Commit to a long-term occupational and educational program
  • Assume the dual role of employee and student at the worksite
  • Maintain Apprenticeship Training Records
  • Obtain a work permit when under the age of 18
  • Maintain satisfactory performance in the work-based and school-based environments
  • Productivity leads to increased revenue for the TMT Youth Community Foundation and mentoring new apprentices within six months to a year.

  • Responsibilities of Parents and Guardians:

  • Provide consent for students to participate in the program if under 18
  • Provide the apprentice encouragement to perform at a high level of academic and technical skill attainment relating to all aspects of the apprenticeship

  • Return on Investment:

  • When the trainee reaches the end of the apprenticeship, he or she walks away with credentials that are nationally recognized

  • Program Development:

  • Curriculum development.
  • Provide instructors
  • Provide mentoring opportunities
  • Materials and tools for pre-apprentices to use during training
  • Provide a supportive workplace
  • Online/On-Site/Hybrid

    TMT Apprentices can receive onsite instruction at our studio location or over the internet in our digital classroom.

    Curriculum Textbook

    TMT Apprentices have extra tools in thier toolbox by purchasing a TMT Text. In person and webinars discussions are guided around course materials found in this textbook.
