S.T.E.A.M Leadership

S.T.E.A.M Leadership Institute strives to engage all motivated young people, in hands-on, in-depth learning by connecting them to community experts as educators and mentors. This program is designed for students who are interested in exploring the wonder and excitement of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.

S.T.E.A.M Leadership Institute meets according to the times and locations listed here on this page and is available to scholars in grades Kindergarten and above. During S.T.E.A.M Leadership Institute, we assess student math and reading levels in order to develop individualized lesson plans based on grade level benchmarks.

Engineering

Historical African Engineering curriculum highlights men and women who were more than just pioneers for their race, they were trailblazers in their profession. This engineering curriculum applies mathematics, empirical evidence, economic, social, and practical knowledge in order to invent, innovate, design, build, maintain, research, and improve structures, machines, tools, systems, components, materials, and processes.

Mathematics

Business math curriculum explores the basic concepts and usage of basic business math, consumer math, and practical applied math. These lesson plans, lessons, interactive material, and worksheets will introduce your students to these math topics. This curriculum begins with more simple money math including decimals, place value, addition, subtraction, and percentages. It continues with earning money, income and wages, taxes, checking accounts, bank savings accounts, investments, and more consumer math skills. Students will leave the course knowing how to invest and budget their money.
